3. What is Guided Reading? (from eWorkshop in Canada)- This interactive online module walks you through three phases of "Tell Me", "Show Me", and "Let Me Try." Visit the website, click on the green tabs and sub-tabs, and view an amazing set of videos and interactive tutorials.
After you explore, you can also view a series of videos of teachers in action for Grades K-3 or Grades 4-6. At the K-3 level, you can learn about guided reading, independent reading, running records, and shared reading. At the Grade 4-6 level, you can learn about cooperative learning, literature circles, technology, media literacy, shared reading, and writer's workshop.
